Nothing worth seeking and getting is a do-nothing, snap-your-fingers approach. However, getting to the top can be an easy, painless, one-step process; it's all in the formative ideas you create and follow; i.e., if you think the ownership of your life lies outside your control, all your ideas and actions which follow will automatically substantiate that premise; conversely, if you think you and you alone control your life, then all that follows is, again, automatic. If the facts of reality, to you, are absolute and objective, and, if you stay constantly focused on a single, carefully-chosen goal which grows from your consistent loyalty to a passionate but reality-oriented dream, and ultimately, if you never violate the golden rule ("To thine own self be true!"), then you are automatically a winner of the highest order. |

"Life is not a matter of holding good cards, but of playing a poor hand well!" Robert Louis Stevenson |
Throughout history, men and women of high purpose and rational self-interest have known the core secret of success, summed up by Robert Louis Stevenson, "Life is not a matter of holding good cards, but of playing a poor hand well!" My own personal contribution to that great and enduring thought is that the right motives are always more important than the right moves; and, that it's much easier and more profitable to be happy while making money by working for and managing yourself, than by working for or managing other people. Taking the first step in"starting at the top" requires a total "mental investment" in an idea; i.e., your intellectual commitment that all things good or bad for you always start with the seeds of thought: that "A equals A", (or that one and one equal two!) that the laws of nature which dictate that every cause must have a final effect and every effect must have an initial cause are immutable and indestructable. Having accepted that premise, all that follows for you, in your life, will be positive and valuable and your "mental investment" will pay dividends beyond your wildest expectations. Always remember that the people who tell you that "good guys finish last" are losers turned inside out! Good guys never finish last if they are willing to learn how to really cross the finish line first! Starting at the top, then, is the very simple task of merely grasping a few important, but very basic, simple, and easy-to-understand, principles within my unique concept ofself ownership. By comparison, it is relatively easy to "rule the world", but extremely difficult (and far more profitable) to rule one's Self! So, until we meet again, please remember that "There is only one real success: to be able to spend your life in your own way"! And, in closing, I leave you with the achieveable goal that we each create great and wonder-filled lives in our moment-to-moment pursuit of real and enduring personal liberty! Thank you for spending a small piece of your precious life with me. Robert Charles Van Orden Publisher COPYRIGHT NOTICE!
